welcome to my digital garden!

Hi, I’m Jordan – a software developer and writer watering my seeds of interests in technology, storytelling, and livable cities on my block of the internet.

My journey began with my love for electric vehicles but has since evolved into exploring how thoughtful urban design can create more equitable transit systems and make our everyday spaces feel livable – places where we feel free to tell and live our story.

Currently I’m pursuing my OMSCS degree at Georgia Tech with a focus on Human Computer Interaction, exploring how we can build more intuitive and respectful relationships between people and technology. I spend my time coding, reading solarpunk and afrofuturism literature1, and envisioning a future where technology is not exploitative of a people, but helps them and their communities thrive.

Through this blog, I attempt to carry on the practice of a griot, a storyteller connecting the threads of the past and the present to help us envision a future we love and are excited for. I do this through the software I write and the stories I share in hopes of bearing fruit to a future we could truly see ourselves in. Like the present, the future will not be perfect, but by envisioning what could be possible, beyond the imagination’s of those “leading” the charge in Silicon Valley, we can cultivate some good dirt, a healthy foundation where our hopes and dreams can begin to take root. 🌱

So welcome to Jordan Ventures, my griot digital garden where I dare to envision a more just tomorrow! Tend to your soul here, take part in the fruit, and imagine what any of us can be and do. 📖✍🏽
